Wooden Dog Whelping Boxes with Pig Rail (Excluding the Compact size)

Easy assembly: Supplied flat pack, slide the boards in the posts and secure the pig rail with 4 screws

Boards: 18mm (2cm planed) board thickness as standard.

Made from hard wearing, long lasting FSC wood

Which size to choose?

We offer a range of Whelping Boxes to cater for the small dog up to and including much larger dogs. As we do not know your dog we cannot make a size recommendation. As a general guide we think it is better to err on the side of bigger than you think rather than smaller whilst checking that you have the floor space to accommodate the box of your choice. We have listed the relevant measurements to help you to make a decision on the size of Whelping Box your litter needs. Pig Rails help prevent newly born pups from being crushed accidentally by their heavy mothers they are approx.14.5cm wide on each side and are removable when not required.

Wood is hand dipped in Croma Non Toxic protection, which is safe for all animals, and children.

Dog Whelping Box

You have just learned the wonderful news that your dog is going to have pups. Congratulations are in order! A whelping box is one of the necessary tools that you will need for your dog to give birth to the puppies and raise them in an environment that is free from danger. It is essential to have a box that is solid and adaptable, a pig rail helps protect your vulnerable young puppies from being crushed or smothered by their mother and as they grow can be removed to provide more space to eat, play and sleep. When your puppies have outgrown their whelping box simply dismantle and store for next time!
